The merchants of downtown Tallassee have been serving the people of Tallassee since the late 1890’s when the Tallassee Falls Manufacturing Company operated the Company Store on Barnett Boulevard.  Constructed in 1893 by a group of stonemasons supervised by Isaac Pienezza, the Company Store is a marvel of late 19th century architecture.  Other buildings soon followed, and one of the latest buildings was the Woodall Hotel, now known as Hotel Talisi, completed in 1928.

Although the burning of Smarty Pants consignment shop and Hotel Talisi devastated all of us, we are stronger than ever and businesses are flourishing.

Right here in downtown Tallassee you can shop in some cute boutiques for clothes and accessories, purchase antiques and new items under one roof, browse our almost 100 year old jewelry and gift shop, order athletic uniforms, get monogramming done, order trophies and plaques, and get in a tanning bed or experience the new spray-on tan system.  And you can even buy cell phones and cell phone minutes and other amenities!

  We consider ourselves “wedding central” where you are able to buy engagement and wedding bands along with other beautiful jewelry and china, purchase a wedding dress as well as bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories, rent tuxedoes, have your hair cut and styled, and book the photographer and the florist.  Are you interested in furnishing your new home?  We have a furniture store as well.  And First United Methodist Church provides the perfect setting for a beautiful event.  We also have an attorney who can draw up pre-nuptial agreements and wills as well as advise you on other legal matters.
